CS Extracurriculars
I would try to build something even a small app or website that can showcase your skills
Hey Justin! I was in your exact same position last year -- I wanted to major in CS, but I didn't really have any substantial CS extracurriculars besides just one coding club. I knew I wanted to get more involved with CS outreach, so the summer before my senior year, I created and organized a whole free coding camp for young girls in my community. I ended up getting into Princeton SCEA this year! I can't promise you that it was the sole factor behind my acceptance, but it was the first EC I listed on the Common App, and I think it did end up helping me. My sister and I are actually helping other students start their own coding camps this year, so DM me if you're interested! Best of luck!
@Alice congrats! Did you write your own curriculum?
