Admission Prospects and Course of Action for Talented Math Student
Hi Adam - amazing "math profile". The reality is no one knows what your chances are (hence we dont chance people here)...but with your background you definitely must try. Have you done any math competitions? This would help a lot for MIT, for example. There are a number of schools that don't take into account freshman year grades - see this post here. Stanford, UC Berkeley and UCLA should probably be on your list. You still have a year before you apply and can do some great stuff in the meantime.

Adam - I would suggest Cornell from Ivies. Given you are taking classes at NYU try to build relationships with professors there. Courant is also a great place and you will have plenty of options both in academia and industry. I would definitely apply there (in fact I did). I had similar experience during both HS and college but luckily ended up in grad school. You will need to have a few safety schools where you can do well and transfer later or go to graduate school.
